Philly Cheesesteak Meatloaf
Ingredients
1 1/2 lbs ground beef
1 cup breadcrumbs
1 large egg
1/2 cup milk
1 onion, finely chopped
1 red bell pepper, finely chopped
1 green bell pepper, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tbsp ketchup
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1 tsp dried oregano
1 1/2 cups shredded provolone or mozzarella cheese, divided
1 tbsp butter
1 tbsp olive oil
Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Preheat the oven: Preheat your oven to 375ยฐF (190ยฐC). Grease a loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.
Sautรฉ the veggies: In a large skillet, heat the butter and olive oil over medium heat. Add the onions, red bell pepper, green bell pepper, and garlic. Sautรฉ until softened, about 5 minutes. Set aside to cool slightly.

Prepare the meatloaf mixture: In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, milk, Worcestershire sauce, ketchup, salt, black pepper, and oregano. Add the sautรฉed veggies and 1 cup of shredded cheese. Mix until well combined.

Shape and bake: Transfer the meat mixture into the prepared loaf pan, pressing it down evenly. Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160ยฐF (71ยฐC).

Add the cheese: Remove the meatloaf from the oven and sprinkle the remaining 1/2 cup of shredded cheese on top. Return to the oven and bake for an additional 5-7 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
