Elon Musk is technically now best Diablo 4 player in the world after ‘insane’ clear time in ‘toughest challenge’

Being the richest person in the world clearly wasn’t enough for Elon Musk…

Elon Musk may already be the richest person in the world but he’s managed to squeeze another crown on his head.

As if Musk didn’t have enough to do making self-driving robotaxis and dancing on stage with Donald Trump, he’s been playing enough Diablo 4 to make it to the top 20 players in the world.

And it turns out he’s not only that, but apparently has even taken the top spot.

For those of us who are not avid gamers, Diablo IV is an action role-playing dungeon game developed and published by Blizzard Entertainment in 2023.

And The Pit Tier 150 is ‘a brutal endgame activity’ in the game, with Aoeah explaining: “Pushing to the highest levels requires optimized builds. While every class can complete the campaign and various raids, the Pit is where the real test begins.

“[…] If you’re not running a meta build, you’ll hit a wall, so consider these builds not just for fun but for true progression.”

And apparently Musk has conquered Tier 150 and in record-breaking time too.

During an appearance on Joe Rogan’s show, Musk said he’s made the top 20 Diablo 4 players across the globe but later took to social media sharing a post which seemingly means he’s actually earned the top spot as a result of clearing the 150 tier and in record-breaking time too.

Musk took to his Twitter page to reveal he managed to complete the pit in ‘under two mins,’ sharing video footage to prove it.

And would it really be a Musk post unless it came with a rogue philosophical comment?

He added: “So many life lessons to be learned from speedrunning video games on max difficulty. Teaches you to see the matrix, rather than simply exist in the matrix.”

Oh and a cringey joke too. “That’s what she said,” he added.

But what does the leaderboard actually say?

Well, at the time of writing, Musk is actually ranked a whole lot lower than the top spot or even top 20.

Hell Tides’ Diablo 4 Season 6 Pit Leaderboard sees Musk come in at position 44 – a far cry from the top spot.

Musk’s time on the leaderboard for tier 150 is stated as two minutes 45 seconds.

And in the top spot? a user called ‘Resistance’ who’s stated as being from the US and coming in with a time of one minute 59 seconds for tier 150.

However, Resistance’s video proof on YouTube showing them completing the tier in such a time is dated as being from two weeks ago.

So, with Musk’s Twitter post posted yesterday, that technically makes the leaderboard not fully up to date and him the top player in the worlds

In 2022 Elon Musk resolved to ‘defeat the spam bots or die trying’ alas, it’s not quite happening as fast as the Twitter owner may’ve hoped

A Twitter user has decided to test out just how rampant spam bots still are on the platform two years after Elon Musk declared to rid the site of them.

Elon Musk may’ve declared war on spam bots but it seems he still has quite a long way to go before he fully ‘defeats’ the like promised.

A post by an account called ELON FACTS shared on November 3 quoted one of Musk’s tweets from 2022, reading: “In 2022, Elon Musk promised, ‘We will defeat the spam bots or die trying!’

“Two years later, the spam bots appear to have basically vanished from 𝕏.”

However, another Twitter user named Jeff quickly decided to test the theory that ‘the spam bots appear to have basically vanished from X,’ resharing the post writing: “We’ll see about that

“Locked account homework shrooms forgot password write essay weed drugs cashapp crypto onlyfans sugar daddy need money selling tickets.”

The results of the test? Well, it’s a bit awkward for Musk and his fan account.

Sure enough, Jeff followed up his post with a screenshot of his Twitter DMs revealing after sharing the keywords, it didn’t take long for his profile to get bombarded with a flurry of bots.

One message reads: “Hello, Not here for sexual harassment, do you need 450$.”

Another message read: “Hey do you need $400 twice a week to help yourself financially no fees.”

A third states: “How have you been lately? Can we chat?”

And it’s not taken long for users to weigh in on Jeff’s unveiling.

Another added: “I’m screaming.”

A third commented: “Dude literally said: Autobots, roll out.”

While a fourth said: “This is almost like a Reverse Captcha.”

And a final resolved: “Bro hit the trigger word jackpot.”

What’s more, Jeff’s test was backed up by context added by readers which refers to a post by another user which reads: “I was scammed hacked drained of my Metamask trust wallet phantom wallet crypto wallet seed phrase.”

As the context added, the bots are very much still alive and kicking (Twitter)

Indeed, similarly to Jeff’s post, it didn’t take long for the bots to come crawling out of the woodwork, with one responding: “Have you recently fallen victim to a sophisticated cyberattack? Don’t despair. I too was targeted by cunning cybercriminals, but the skilled team at @SecuredCybert successfully recovered my stolen funds.”

Readers’ additional context comment reads: “As evidenced by the botted comments to the referenced tweet below, spam bots have not ‘vanished’ from X. And having some bot replies ‘hidden’ doesn’t mean they are gone, simply just stacked away at the bottom. They still exist.”

Ah well, maybe in a few more years you’ll finally defeat them, eh?

The department will reportedly ‘drive large scale structural reform’

President-Elect Donald Trump has named tech mogul Elon Musk and former GOP presidential candidate and entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy as the heads of a new Department of Government Efficiency.

In a statement posted to social media, Trump announced the formation of the department, along with its intent to ‘dismantle Government Bureaucracy’ and to ‘slash excess regulations’.

“I am pleased to announce that the Great Elon Musk, working in conjunction with American Patriot Vivek Ramaswamy, will lead the Department of Government Efficiency (‘DOGE’),” Trump wrote, with the department’s acronym notably referencing the popular internet meme and a cryptocurrency associated with Musk.

The President-Elect went on to explain that Musk and Ramaswamy would “pave the way for my Administration to dismantle Government Bureaucracy, slash excess regulations, cut wasteful expenditures, and restructure Federal Agencies – Essential to the ‘Save America’ Movement.”

Trump further likened the new agency to the Manhattan Project, the United States‘ research initiative to produce the first nuclear weapons in World War II, and said that “republican politicians have dreamed about the objectives of ‘DOGE’ for a very long time.”

“To drive this kind of drastic change,” Trump continued. “The Department of Government Efficiency will provide advice and guidance from outside of Government, and will partner with the White House and Office of Management & Budget to drive large scale structural reform, and create entrepreneurial approach to Government never seen before.”

He concluded his statement by saying that Musk and Ramaswamy have a deadline of July 4, 2026 to conclude their work with the department, noting that “a smaller government with more efficiency and less bureaucracy will be the perfect gift to America on the 250th Anniversary of The Declaration of Independence. I am confident they will succeed.”

Musk celebrated his new title on Twitter writing that the “merch will be…” along with three fire emojis and saying in a separate post: “Threat to democracy? Nope, threat to BUREAUCRACY!!!”

Meanwhile, Ramaswamy also celebrated the news, tweeting: “We will not go gently, @/elonmusk.”

Trump won the 2024 US Presidential Election with 312 electoral votes, while also sweeping all seven swing states.

On election night last week, Trump addressed his supporters from his campaign’s headquarters in West Palm Beach, Florida and shared: “Every single day I will be fighting for you, with every single breath in my body. I will not rest until we have delivered the strong, safe and prosperous America that children deserve.”

“And that you deserve. This will truly be the golden age for America,” he added.

Microsoft is in the midst of a major outage which has caused widespread disruption – and Elon Musk is absolutely loving it.

The outage is reported to have started at 6pm ET yesterday (July 18) as business and institutions suddenly found themselves offline due to the issue which has been linked to Windows workstations.

Everything from banks and supermarkets to airlines and rail services have been impacted by the outage, which has been linked to the security firm Crowdstrike after it issued a software update just hours earlier.

In a statement, Crowdstrike’s CEO, George Kurtz, assured the outage was ‘not a security incident or cyberattack’.

“Crowdstrike is actively working with customers impacted by a defect found in a single content update for Windows hosts,” he said.

“Mac and Linux hosts are not impacted […] The issue has been identified, isolated and a fix has been deployed.”

Crowdstrike has referred customers to its support portal for latest updates, adding: “[We] will continue to provide complete and continuous updates on our website. We further recommend organizations ensure they’re communicating with CrowdStrike representatives through official channels.

“Our team is fully mobilized to ensure the security and stability of CrowdStrike customers.”

Meanwhile, Microsoft said it was aware of the issue affecting Windows devices ‘due to an update from a third party software platform’.

“We anticipate a resolution is forthcoming,” it said.

While Crowdstrike is dealing with the matter, Musk has been having a field day with the issue after he previously called out Microsoft in 2021.

At the time, Musk wrote on X: “Macrohard >> Microsoft.”

He did follow up with the admission that Microsoft Teams is ‘pretty good’, but after the recent outage Musk harked back to his initial criticism.

The Tesla founder took the time to dig out his post from 2021 and retweeted it to bring it back on to people’s timelines, simply adding “…” as an indication that his comment stood the test of time.

Musk’s fans have been loving the dig, with his post having wracked up more than 52,000 likes at the time of writing (July 19).

Crowdstrike, which describes itself as a ‘global cybersecurity leader’, works with some of the world’s biggest companies to help stop internet breaches or hacks.

Delta, United and American Airlines are among the companies affected by the outage, prompting them to ground all flights regardless of their destination, according to the Federal Aviation Administration.

At least 600 flights have already been canceled as a result of the outage.

Elon Musk asks the same question in every job interview to spot a liar

The Tesla CEO has one question he focuses on when interviewing candidates which gives him a ‘very good gut feeling’ about them

Elon Musk has revealed which one crucial question he always asks job applicants which tests their trustworthiness.

You may think you can get away with a cheeky embellishment on the old resume or in an interview, making yourself out to be a bit more heroic in a situation which tested you, but not if you’re facing Tesla CEO Musk.

In an interview with Auto Bild in 2017, Musk was asked what skills he wants candidates to have.

However, instead of focusing on an applicant’s college qualifications or degrees, Musk reveals he typically just focuses in on one question.

While asking them for the ‘story of their career,’ the X owner reveals: “I really just ask: ‘What are some of the tougher problems [you’ve] dealt with and how [did you] dealt with those?'”

“And how they made decisions at key transition points,” he adds.

But why is this one main question so important to Musk?

Well, the current world’s richest man explains the one question ‘is usually enough’ to give him ‘a very good gut feeling about someone’ and can even reveal whether or not he’s being lied to as well.

Musk continues: “What I’m really looking for is evidence of exceptional ability so that they’ve faced really difficult problems and overcome them.

“And of course, you want to make sure that if there was some significant accomplishment, were they really responsible or was somebody else more responsible.”

Musk says normally the person who’s ‘had to struggle with the problem they really understand it and they don’t forget’.

He resolves: “So you can ask them very detailed questions about it and they’ll know the answer, whereas the person who was not truly responsible for that accomplishment will not know the details.”

And don’t just take Musk’s word for it either, as Indeed has also flagged it as one of the ‘eight common problem-solving questions’ you could be asked if facing a job interview soon.

The site notes: “If the job you’re applying for requires you to think analytically or solve problems, your interviewer may ask some problem-solving questions. These questions can vary between industries and jobs, but some examples come up frequently.”

And indeed, one of the questions featued on the employment website has the same theme as Musk’s: “Describe a time when you faced an unexpected challenge in your job?”

Alongside what Musk said about simply not lying about it by taking credit where it’s not due, Indeed advises: “Explain what challenges you have and what you did to overcome them. You can answer this question using the STAR technique.

“The STAR technique includes explaining the situation, the task, what action you took and the result. Choose an example that has a positive outcome and talk about what you learned from the experience, linking this back to the job description if possible.”
