Carrot Cake recipe
Ingredients:
1 cup grated carrots ๐ฅ
1 cup sugar ๐ญ
1 teaspoon baking powder๐ง
1 egg ๐ณ
butter ๐ฏ ๐ง( to grease pan)
1/2 cup vegetable oil ๐ฅ
1 teaspoon vanilla extract ๐ฆ
1 cup all-purpose flour ๐ฅฅ
1 teaspoon baking soda ๐ง
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon ๐
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg ๐ฅ
1/4 teaspoon salt ๐ง
1 cup milk ๐ฅ
Method:
1. Preheat oven to 350ยฐF (175ยฐC).
2. In a bowl, combine grated carrots, sugar, egg, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract until smooth ๐ฝ.
3. Stir in the flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt until just combined.
4. Stir in the flour until just combined. Then, stir in the milk until just incorporated. ๐ฅ
5. Pour the batter into a greased and floured cake pan ๐ฐ.
6. Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean ๐ฅฎ
7. Let cool before frosting.
