Since Kelly Clarkson’s widely discussed absence from her show, several prominent figures in Hollywood have stepped in to help the beloved talk show host with hosting duties.
Musical star and beloved talk show host Kelly Clarkson has been noticeably absent from “The Kelly Clarkson Show.” Her absence has sparked concern from her fans, who are wondering what has been going on and hoping that the star is ok.

On March 3, 2025, fellow A-lister Simu Liu took over hosting duties. “Simu Liu jumps into action to fill in as guest host […] Tune in today for more fun with guest host Simu Liu, Woody Harrelson and Finn Cole,” reads the show’s caption of the episode snippet shared on YouTube.
Even the “Kim’s Convenience” actor addressed the temporary replacement in a humorous way during the episode’s intro.
“Hello, everybody and welcome to ‘The Kelly Clarkson Show.’ Wow! Uhm, now, before we get things started, I do have a confession to make, uh, I am not Kelly Clarkson. I know this may shock many of you but Kelly actually isn’t able to make it today, we are sending her our very best,” divulged Liu.
Interestingly, Kelly Clarkson returned to her show on March 6, where she hosted celebrities Jason Derulo, Nora Fatehi, Jason Isaacs, and Allie X. However, even more A-listers took over as guest hosts after her return.
The “Stronger” singer’s absence has prompted a flurry of reactions from her fans who are concerned about her whereabouts. “Low key worried about Kelly Clarkson. Hope everything’s ok,” penned a supporter on X, who accompanied their message with a comical gif of the absent host.
Another directly questioned, “What’s going on with Kelly Clarkson??” “Im sure its a personal Family emergency. We all have those. She’ll be back when shes ready! Hugs and Blessings Kelly [sic],” asserted an admirer, while another added, “Hopefully she is ok, maybe she just needs a break and some down time [sic].” More details on the story will follow shortly.
